The Alamo MG Association was founded by a small group of enthusiasts who shared a passion for the iconic British sports car. Nearly five decades later, our club has grown into one of the most active MG communities in the Southwest.
We host rallies through the Texas Hill Country, tech sessions where members share restoration knowledge, and an annual concours that draws British car lovers from across the state. Whether you drive a pristine 1960s MGB or a project Midget on jack stands, you belong here.

Full CalendarGathering of the Faithful State car meet
The Faithful will gather in Glen Rose, Texas, November 5-8, 2026. Your Hosts will be President Don Schwartz, Pam Porterfield, Vice President Scott Hardy and Trish Hardy. Accommodation can be made with Holiday Inn Express and Suites located at 113 Paluxy Summit Blvd in Glen Rose. 254.269.0999 . To receive the group rate reserved for our members you MUST request the TMGR group rate. (also, if you require an ADA compliant room please be sure to request this at the time of reservation). You may also click on the link below to register. The link shows the group rates. The group rate will be effective until OCTOBER 1, 2026. After this date, all unreserved rooms will be released, and reservations will be accepted on space available basis and group rate will not apply. More details of the fun weekend are soon to follow!
Monthly Club Meeting
Monthly club meeting where we catch up on MG happenings around the area. Anyone interested in the Shiner run - we will depart from the meeting.
Annual MG Shiner run
We plan to meet up with the Austin club again at the Rockne Grocery store/gas station like we did last year at the corner of Hwy 20 and RR535. More details on timing when we get closer to the event date. The 4th annual Shiner Brewery run. The Houston club will leave the Katy Buccee on I 10 at 9:30AM,taking the back roads like the Painted Churches run, getting to Shiner around 12:30pm. We will have some good BBQ or eat in the new restaurant, have a few beers, and tour the brewery if you would like. The tour is up to each person and you can make reservation on their web site. the brewery will save the parking area that is covered ,for us. They are also having a Pickleball tournament that day which should be fun to watch. Looking forward is see all again. Houston club Host Jim and Dody Goldmeyer. Austin Host is Scott Hardy.
